Vera Alcorn, ND MS
She/They
In my current work I see patients with all kinds of stories and from all kinds of backgrounds. I love getting curious with my patients about what the root cause of their symptoms is. I use labwork and genetic assays to gain biological data, but rely on my patients' lived experience to guide treatment. Whether you have a neurodivergent brain, you experience extreme states, or you want to optimize your mental and emotional health, I have tools and resources to share and can guide you towards your goal.
I took a meandering path through energy medicine, music, veterinary medicine, and office administration until I found my passion in naturopathic medicine. Naturopathy emphasizes your body and mind’s natural ability to heal, using whatever modality is most appropriate to remove obstacles and promote healing. I love that naturopathic medicine has room for both evidence based medicine and intuition. I thrive on helping people understand their bodies and minds so we can find the right tools for their specific needs. I studied the science and art of naturopathic medicine so I can share my expertise with you and help you overcome whatever obstacles are in your path to healing.
After a two year residency studying with our founder, Elissa Mendenhall, I’ve stepped into the role of clinical director of Amenda Clinic. Outside of my work as a naturopathic doctor I spend my time knitting, reading, making music, playing video games, and playing with my fluffy cats. I’m always striving towards having all my ducks in a row, even if I have to tie them all up in washi tape and color code them.
