In my current work I see patients with all kinds of stories and from all kinds of backgrounds. I love getting curious with my patients about what the root cause of their symptoms is. I use lab work and genetic assays to gain biological data, but rely on my patients' lived experience to guide treatment.

Lauren’s passion for working in the mental health field began when a particularly kind professor at University took her under his wing and introduced her to effective and compassionate ways of working with people in extreme mind states. That was many years ago but it paved the way for her lifelong passion for the mental health field.
Dr. Heidi Wilson, ND MS

Dr. Wilson’s path to naturopathic medicine started with her passion for mental health, which she views as how we experience the world - mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. She uses an integrative approach to support individuals with their mental health, neurodivergence, and physical conditions that may overlap. She loves learning about patients’ stories and working together to explore treatment options that are accessible, doable, and aligned with their values.
Dr. Bethany Porten, ND
Naturopathic Physician

Dr. Porten is a licensed naturopathic physician who received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine, here in Portland. She also holds a certification in Holistic Pelvic Floor Therapy. Dr. Bethany focused her clinical education through the lens of trauma healing and trauma informed care. She loves to explore the connection between physical and mental health with her patients and develop treatment plans that are patient centered, approachable, and tailored to each patient's individual needs.
Dr. Martha Pace, ND
Naturopathic Physician

Dr. Martha Pace is a licensed naturopathic physician practicing integrative mental health and primary care. She focuses on complex mental health conditions, LGBTQIA+ care and gender-affirming hormone therapy, hormone balancing, substance use and recovery, cardiometabolic conditions, and eating disorder medical management, all from a trauma-informed and Health at Every Size® (HAES®) perspective.
Dr. Emily Whinkin, ND MS
Naturopathic Physician

Dr. Emily Whinkin (she/they) is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor specializing in the clinical practice, research and advancement of integrative mental health and psychedelic healing. She completed a 2 year residency at the Advanced Integrative Medical Science (AIMS) Institute in Seattle, WA where her practice focused on the psychospiritual care for patients with complex, chronic, or life-limiting illnesses and 'treatment-resistant' mental health concerns.
Jonathan Nadal, ND LAc
Naturopathic Physician and Acupuncturist

Dr. Jonathan Nadal is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and acupuncturist with a background in functional and regenerative medicine and a lifelong passion for mental health. Through compassionate exploration, advanced lab work, and individualized care, he believes the patient’s story holds the keys to their healing.

She brings with her over a decade of experience working in healthcare, most of it in alternative medicines as well as a Bachelors in Management & Leadership from PSU.
Pair that with her entrepreneurial spirit and her commitment to end the stigma around mental health and you’ll understand her deep love and commitment to Amenda Clinic, its staff and its patients.
Her goal, her hope, is to be the person who can make what we do at Amenda Clinic approachable for anyone experiencing mental health, removing barriers of understanding (think insurance confusion) and barriers of guilt and shame. Through education, humor, compassion and relentlessness she hopes to reach far and wide in our community to make a welcoming space for anyone who has come to realize that humaning is hard and getting help is strength.
