About Amenda Clinic

Our Mission

We merge the physical, emotional, and spiritual experience of you being human with evidence based care, fierce acceptance, and creativity to expand your capacity to show up and live your fullest life. Through ancient herbal medicine, naturopathy, genetics, functional lab work, pharmaceutical intervention, counseling, flower essences, and any other therapies that honor the mind-body connection, we help you heal, achieve your goals for well-being, and live your life at full capacity.  This is patient-led integrative care that honors your experience and supports the outcomes you desire while leveraging the expertise of innovative providers across specialties to achieve true collaborative healing.

A Different Approach to Mental Health

At Amenda Clinic, we understand that your mind and body are not separate. Your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health are all intertwined - they directly impact each other. We listen to your story to see the whole picture of who you are. This holistic approach allows us to work with you to discover the root cause of your mental health concerns. We then create support plans integrating a variety of healing therapies that address both your mind and body to bring overall balance, health, and wellness.

Who We Work With

Common conditions we see in our patients include depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, psychosis, schizophrenia, OCD, eating disorders, and addictions of all kinds. However, we also consider ourselves diagnosis neutral. This means we don’t think people can easily be fit into a neat diagnostic category but that there can be helpful reasons to have a diagnosis. Read more about our stance on What to Expect at Your First Visit.

We work with people at nearly every stage of life, from adolescence to elderly. We happily celebrate gender, racial, and cultural diversity. Some of our providers have additional training in working with queer and trans-identified people.

Trauma Informed Care

We prioritize building a relationship and establishing trust with you. We understand there is power in being heard and in accepting your story. We are committed to providing a safe environment for you to share your story, a safe space to find and experience healing. Our desire is to empower you by offering treatment choices based on our expertise and allowing you to express your needs in a support plan.

ADA Accessibility

Our building has stairs at the front entrance and a ramp through the healing garden to the back door. Our front desk responds both to phone calls and to text messages. Please let us know if there are other accommodations you need to receive care, and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.

Teaching Clinic

We believe it is important to train and empower other providers to become excellent in a holistic approach to mental health care. We offer opportunities through NUNM for students of naturopathic medicine to observe during ND visits. We also offer supervisory hours for counseling interns with our LPC. By allowing students to observe your care, you can contribute to the next generation of doctors and counselors. We also understand that it can be uncomfortable for some of our patients so provide you with the choice to participate.

Collaborative Care

A team-based collaborative approach to treatment helps us provide you with even better care. Each provider on our team brings a complementary set of knowledge and skills to the table. Collaboration can offer answers that may be the missing piece of the puzzle. Open communication between you, your Amenda Clinic providers, as well any other providers you may work with, allows for fully integrative health care. You are the most important part of the collaborative health team, and we believe this approach is one of the keys to your healing.
